Kinlet Kinlet Failed payment calculator

What do failed payments cost your community in a year?

Four numbers. The math runs on this page – nothing you type here is stored or sent anywhere.

Members on a paid plan right now. Free members don't count.
What one member pays per month. For yearly plans, divide the yearly price by 12.
Members whose payment failed and never went through, so their subscription ended. The default is an average across subscription businesses1, not Whop data. For your own number: in Whop, Dashboard → Payments → Status → Past due lists the payments that are failing right now.
There is no default here: we found no reliable average for paid communities. A quick way to estimate yours: 1 ÷ your monthly churn. At 5% churn, a member stays about 20 months.

Kinlet reminds these members before Whop cancels them.

Kinlet is an app for Whop community owners. It lists the paying members whose payment has failed, so a short reminder reaches each of them while Whop is still retrying the charge.

Failed payments are one of the signals Kinlet watches. The others are cancellations, ending trials and members who have gone quiet.

This is what Kinlet shows you every day

Kinlet's daily list: members at risk, the reason for each, and the monthly revenue at risk. Sample data.

What Kinlet sends to a member whose payment failed

Word for word. You can read the same texts in the app before anything is sent.

What it costs to try

Kinlet is waiting for Whop's app review and is not available yet. It opens as soon as the review is done. We can't promise a date.

    Sources and assumptions

Read on 2 October 2026. The default is an average for subscription businesses in general. It is not Whop data.

    1. Churnkey, State of Retention 2025 – 15 million subscriptions at over a thousand companies: involuntary churn (red line) centered around 1% a month. This is the default for members lost to failed payments. It is a vendor's own data, and it mixes business and consumer subscriptions.
    2. Whop help center, Troubleshoot failed payments – Whop automatically retries the charge over a five-day period; if the payment still fails after five days, Whop cancels the subscription.
    3. Stripe, How we built it: Smart Retries – subscriptions brought back after a payment failure continue on average for seven more months.
